Ski Area

Sainte Foy's own ski area has 26 pistes, 800 hectares of forests and high-altitude slopes. Don't be decieved by these reletively modest statisics! The potential for off-piste is huge, and the larger resorts of Tignes, Val D'Isere, Les Arcs & La Rosiere are all easily accessible nearby.

The family friendly resort of Sainte Foy is located at 1550m, with the highest lift reaching 2620m. Sainte Foy is known as the "best kept secret" in the area, where ski instructors from nearby Val d'Isere are most likely to spend their day off!

A free shuttle bus links the main village, and the hamlets of La Thuile, Le Miroir and La Mazure to the ski resort.

In addition to the beautiful & quiet pistes of Sainte Foy that cater for skiers of all abilities, the Espace Killy is only a 20 minute journey (Tignes and Val d'Isere's immense ski areas). This is one of the most beautiful ski areas in the world with 96 ski lifts: 2 funiculars, 4 cabin lifts, 4 cable cars, 45 chairlifts, 41 drag lifts - 10,000 hectares and 300 kilometres of ski trails - 137 ski runs: 22 green, 64 blue, 35 red, 16 black - 9 slalom stadiums and 2 mogul stadiums - 2 half-pipes and 2 snow parks - 331 snow canons.

Travel to Sainte Foy

Fly to: Chambrey airport 1.5 hours. Grenoble airport 2 hours. Geneva airport 2 hours. Airport Transfers are available. Drive to: Sainte Foy is 575 miles from Calais, (approx 500 miles of motorway). Train to: Bourg St Maurice, approximately a 30 minute drive away.

Sainte Foy: village style

Sainte Foy ski resort has is built in the style of a typical alpine village. The traditional style chalets nestle amongst the trees in a southwest-facing bowl, and have all been built in traditional style, using local stone and wood.

Sainte Foy: ski area

Sainte Foy offers a variety of pisted red and blue runs, as well as several renowed off-piste routes. Mostly the slopes are uncrowded and the snow is in excellent condition, with powder often staying untracked for days after a snowfall. The larger resorts of Tignes, Val D'Isere, Les Arcs and La Rossiere are all easily accessible nearby.
