Sainte Foy Chalets

Chalet Jim

I thought I would send you a quick email updating you on our holiday. Firstly I would like to say that Sainte Foy resort is perfect, you couldn't ask for a better ski resort. The locals are friendly, the slopes are empty and the sun was shining. Secondly, Chalet Jim was gorgeous. Had some nice finishes and the furniture and decor was wonderful. Plenty of space for the largest of families. I would recommend Chalet Jim and the Sainte Foy resort as one of the best places to ski. The family games were a lovely touch and we spent many nights playing Jenga with the kids. We had a wonderful week there but it felt like we had been away alot longer which was great. The place is so tranquil and quiet and most of the time we felt like we were the only people there.

We have had the privilege of having Chalet Jim as our holiday home for the last 4 years. It’s fantastic; it really feels a home away from home! The chalet has everything a family (or group) could need. The upstairs open plan kitchen/diner/living room is fantastic. After a long day on the slopes, coming back to the chalet and getting the log burner going is great. The chalet has a DVD player and TV with English channels so you really can chill. The main lift up the mountain is a short 10 mins uphill walk from the chalet or there is a bus that literally has a pick up point outside the chalet that runs every 10-15 mins that will take you up the hill with your equipment. Bars and shops are all within close vicinity. Our family love the chalet and Sainte Foy resort, can’t praise it enough.

Sainte Foy is a true gem for skiing. The location of Chalet Jim is perfect. The village is a five minute walk where you will find a range of restaurants, ski shops and bars. The chalet is beautiful and has everything you need. The wood burner is a welcomed comfort after a day of skiing. Snow conditions were excellent during our stay.

Our 2nd visit to Chalet Jim in Sainte Foy and another amazing week. The chalet was in all its splendour and you cant want for anything in it. We have now found the ski in route although some skill and delicacy is required! Amazing weather and snow and as ever the shuttle bus driver to the slopes was helpful and cheery! - want to go back already!

What a great house in a very nice old style french mountain village. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Great chalet! Spacious and cosy, well equipped. Good location in a calm area of Sainte Foy. The outside stairs are just a bit difficult to climb because of the amount of ice. Andrea is really nice and answered really promptly to all the questions I asked. We had a wonderful time!

Apartment Cedar

This is the third time we have celebrated Christmas at Apartment Cedar and yet again it was brilliant. This year it has also had a wonderful renovation (although we thought it was perfect anyway). It's beautifully decorated, has comfy beds, a stylish kitchen, fab shower and log burner. In an ideal location in Sainte Foy station and only a short walk up to the lift, this really is one of our favourite places to stay. Gorgeous views over the valley. Also all communication with Andrea is fast and efficient. Honestly can't fault it, if you love Sainte Foy you will love this chalet. Don't hesitate book it - you won't regret it.

We had a great stay at apartment Cedar. The apartment is just outside the main resort but within easy walking or shuttle bus distance and provides great accommodation for a family. the accommodation is both spacious and comfortable and well recommended. The smallest of gripes would be the lack of a few pans to cook with if you intend to eat at home but for a weeks trip the provision was adequate. We will no doubt be back to stay here. After a 30 year absence we found Sainte Foy to be perfect for a mixed ability group and ideal for children. Communication was seamless with Andrea the owner and our arrival and departure were easy to manage. We can whole heartedly recommend this great little apartment.

We spent Christmas here this year and had such an amazing time. Sainte Foy is a great ski resort and this chalet Cedar is in a perfect location to make the most of it. Beautiful apartment, perfect location and an awesome view. Handy bus that stops right outside (whist only a few minutes uphill walk to the chairlift - any help is appreciated when carrying ski equipment!). Really warm and cosy with great under floor heating and a log burner. Property was spotlessly clean and had great facilities and a spectacular mezzanine bedroom. The only slight criticism we had is that the shower isn't that great, but other than that everything else was perfect. Highly recommended for families.

We loved our stay in St Foy. It is a beautiful, hidden gem of a ski resort. The chalet has oodles of Savoie charm, while being fresh and modern. It has breathtaking views and is only a short walk to the lift and supermarket. Black Diamond Lodge is across the laneway, with an excellent bar and restaurant. Other culinary highlights include 1580m and Chez Merie (in nearby Le Miroir). We were a family of 5, including 3 teenage girls, so the small, single bathroom was challenging. As was the lack of laundry facilities. Overall, however, we loved our stay and highly recommend this property.

Had a super nice holiday. Beautiful and stylishly furnished apartment. You can choose to walk a bit or take the shuttle bus to the chairlift. At the end of the day it is possible to ski or snowboard directly to your apartment. In short, super apartment and location.

Superb chalet in Sainte Foy with plenty of room for everyone. Located just down the hill from the main resort but free shuttle bus takes the effort out of the walk up the hill if you have your skis. Sainte Foy is a small village with plenty of character. The skiing is good for all levels and there is some great off piste available for the more adventurous skiers. There are a selection of places to eat with some great regional dishes available. Black Diamond is a must when they have Mullit playing on the outside deck - dancing on the tables is positively encouraged! I will certainly be back next year.

Sainte Foy: village style

Sainte Foy ski resort has is built in the style of a typical alpine village. The traditional style chalets nestle amongst the trees in a southwest-facing bowl, and have all been built in traditional style, using local stone and wood.

Sainte Foy: ski area

Sainte Foy offers a variety of pisted red and blue runs, as well as several renowed off-piste routes. Mostly the slopes are uncrowded and the snow is in excellent condition, with powder often staying untracked for days after a snowfall. The larger resorts of Tignes, Val D'Isere, Les Arcs and La Rossiere are all easily accessible nearby.

Sainte Foy: off the slopes

In the village centre you will find all the facilities you need for an enjoyable ski holiday: ski hire, a well stocked supermarket, ski schools and creche facilities. A variety of bars and restaurants offer hospitality with a relaxed style and genuine French ambiance. Spa and beauty facilities are also available.

Sainte Foy: summer season

In the summer there are plenty of activities once the snow has melted - scenic hikes, mountain biking, tennis and for adrenalin junkies white water rafting and rock climbing.
